Lugares-Memória VI
Cape of Good Hope, South Africa
The Cape, meeting point of cold Atlantic waters and warm ones from the Indic Ocean, is an idyllic place, where tall rock walls challenge the sea to knock them down, and where the fields of the African savannah lean over the ocean as if about to jump out and, with that hop, cover the turquoise sea with a blanket of green. And the wind, forever blowing, reminds one all the time of the despair theses capes incarnate, midway between storms.
